The Project
This project is designed to showcase the talent of 6 artists and designers who are interested in participating in the creation of a limited edition holographic book. Each contributor will be given two pages within this book. Attached to one page will be either a full-colour transmission hologram or monochromatic transmission hologram. Each contributor will be responsible for integrating the hologram, along with their own two dimensional artwork into the book. These may consist of drawings, illustrations, and photography. Artists are not limited to a single selection of media, however, the content of their submission must be reproducible.
No experience with holograms is necessary. Participants will share in common the notion of a juxtaposition of their own practice with the holographic medium in the context of this “first of its kind” book. With that being said, participants should beware of the holographic book's objective to integrate the old with the new.
