What is a white light transmission hologram?
There are many techniques for controlling colour in holography. One full colour technique involves lighting the hologram from behind.(transmission) and creating overlapping spectra from red, green and blue colour separated digital images. In other words, a layered red, green, blue image, which is lit from behind. We intend to use highly polished silver wafers to reflect the light back through the hologram that will be laminated to the page.
What is a white light transmission achromate hologram?
Some participants may wish to use a colourless hologram, or black and white image as their final contribution to the book. This image works exactly like the full colour hologram but is B/W.
